Get Stirred Up
“They shouted joyfully, "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!..." Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, tell your disciples to be quiet." Jesus replied, "I can guarantee that if they are quiet, the stones will cry out.” Luke 19:38-40
Do you leave church each week without getting in touch with the Lord? Do you stumble and grope your way through the week wondering why it’s such a struggle? My intention isn’t to offend anyone this week, but to stir you up. Get out of the drivers seat and give it back to Jesus. If you’re tired of the struggle and the dead ends then move over and let Him pass. If He isn’t leading then you’re going the wrong way. Not only should we give Him the lead, but we should also demonstrate our love and passion for Him. Why sit quietly in church with hands in laps when we should run to the Lord praising at the top of our voice. Have you become an oil and vinegar Christian: letting God settle to the bottom of everything? Get stirred up let Him penetrate and infiltrate your life again. He’s not just a book on the shelf, given just one day a week or awakened during an evangelistic event. He must be involved in every part of our lives and days. Get stirred up and actively stay that way so that you can stir others us as well. Stop worrying about what others think and become passionate again. Demonstrate to others all He’s done. Satan wants you to be calm and quiet in worship, he knows the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. Send Satan packing, worship with passion.
The Bible says that the rocks will praise Him if we don’t. It’s time we rocked things for the Lord.
