“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” “He hath made every thing beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3: 1 & 11
King Solomon in his wisdom realized penning these words that we’d never know everything about God, what He’d done or doing. If we knew everything would we trust in Him? I have at times ask my kids to do things a particular way, most of the time they question why, but occasionally they act on faith trusting that I have a good reason. We act much the same with the Lord, asking why? If we were to obey trusting in His best for us how much greater would the outcome be?
God, who’s in charge of this Earths seasons, is also in charge of our seasons and He knows we need these seasons even though we don’t like them. He knew that we’d become numb and miss out on the wonder of life if there weren’t something different for a while. By the end of summer we take the leaves on trees for granted, but their splendor is renewed when the color of fall takes over. Then by winter’s end we become overwhelmed by the cold nakedness when spring begins to warm and awaken the buds and bright new leaves arrive bringing warm color into our lives again.
Rejoice, to every season there’s a time and a purpose. Trust in the Lord, He makes every season turn out beautifully in His time. Don’t give up new buds of wonder and purpose will open up for you. You must experience discomfort in order to appreciate deliverance. ‘Tis a season, let God work in it.
