The SPAM Problem With Email
If you do email, make certain you do not use any typical SPAM words especially in your subject line or your email probably will get filtered into nether-nether land by either our ISPs' or our own filters. We've been on the internet since its early days and many spammers have gotten our email addresses, so now we receive some 900 emails weekly of which 700 appear to be spam and so are filtered by one or another of our ISP's so we never see that 80% of our emails. Another 100 reach us but still appear to be spam and are filtered by our own filters so we're unlikely to see that additional 10% of our emails. This leaves about 100 or 10% which reach us, of which still well over half are spam. So try to make sure your email doesn't appear to be spam so that it won't be filtered with the 95% of our emails which are spam.
