We the members of the Packwood Community Presbyterian Church open our hearts in love to each and every human being. We strive:

Packwood Community Presbyterian Church is located in the small rural community of Packwood, Washington. We aspire to be God's servants and to reach out to others in our community, our state, our country and the world. Through our deeds and actions and an active, cogent, evangelical ministry, we hope to continue to bring people into a personal relationship with our Friend and Lord Jesus.
Packwood is a rural unincorporated community of about 2,000
population. The church also serves Randle, a similar community,
15 miles west of Packwood. The rural area or neighborhood in which
the church serves has a population around 3,000.
The community of Packwood is located in a beautiful mountain valley
on the west slope of the Cascade range and in the shadow of Mount
Rainier. With mountain peaks rising about 5,000 feet from the
valley floor, recreational activities are within an hour's drive
of the community and include unlimited hiking, skiing, camping,
berry picking, hunting and fishing. Scenery right at your front
door includes elk and deer, considered by some to be a pest as
they enjoy eating gardens and flowers, but generally enjoyed by
all as they romp in the country setting.
Temperature is moderate with daily highs averaging 70 to 80 in
July and nightly lows averaging 25 to 35 in the winter months.
Rainfall averaging 58" comes mostly in the winter months.
Employment and commerce of the community is logging, lumbering,
government, commercial, school and educational services, tourists,
and recreational activities. The area has a retired population
of about 400 people and the cost of living is below the state
average. Mileage to the communities of Yakima, Centralia-Chehalis
and Tacoma is 75 to 80 miles.
Pastor since August 1995 is Wayne Morrow, a young, vigorous, exceptionally
skillful preacher and pastor. He has won our respect, admiration
and love.
