When a farmer goes out to plant
he doesn't drop the seed on top of the field, it's full of weeds,
dirt clods and is hardened from winter. He has to tear up the
ground and he doesn't pass over once and quits, but several times
in order to reap a healthy bountiful harvest. This deep agitation
of the ground will make it possible for the roots to go deep during
the season gain good nutrition and hold firm for the best growth.
Are you allowing the Lord to cultivate your heart deeply? I know
this process is never comfortable, yet if we are to grow properly
and have a successful harvest it's quite necessary.
The ground doesn't tell the farmer what to do he knows from years
of experience exactly what should be done. So also the Lord knows
what we need, but too many times we tell Him to stop. We don't
like the discomfort and convince ourselves we are fine and don't
need it. If we don't allow the Lord to cultivate us there will
be no harvest in our life and without it someone's life will not
be touched by us.
When several crops fail in a season it can affect people all over
the world. It's the same of your life, without a harvest others
will suffer. We have all been given divine appointments in someone
else's life.
Do not fear; let the Lord work the soil of your heart. Let Him
go deep so you can get the best out of the life He has given you.
Not only will others benefit, but you also.
