It is vain for you to rise up early, to retire late, to eat the bread of painful labor; for He gives to His beloved even in his sleep. Psalm 127:2
I find Black Friday very amusing.
I think it should be called Black and Blue Friday! Parking lots
fill up long before daylight with human piranhas waiting to get
into the store for an item that everyone else is there for, and
of course the store only stocked ten.
Once you get in the store, holiday loving - coffee depraved individuals
get quite hostile because they can't get to where they want because
someone is in the way. What a scene. Pushing, shoving, name
calling and gridlock, all before 5 a.m.
When I stand back and watch what lengths people will go to for
material possessions, and with vehement passion too, my thought
then becomes, "Why don't we fight that hard each day for
truth and a higher standard of living?"
There are two lines in this life. One filled with people fighting
for what everyone else has and the other with those who want what
Jesus has. Guess which line is longer? Yep, the one fighting
for what everyone else has.
What Jesus has you will never get anywhere else. And what He has
is for you alone, no one else. Are you tired of fighting human
piranhas that bite and leave you wounded? Then, come to Jesus
and find rest for your weary soul. He never has too little, but
enough for each one. The best part is that it is always what
you need when you need it. He will fight the fight for you.
I have fought the good
fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy
