Listen to counsel and
accept discipline; that you may be wise the rest of your days.
Proverbs 19:20
I'm DONE! I quit! I'm finished!
I'm through! If you've said any of these, what do you mean?
If you're in a tough place right now, do you feel like you've
taken all you can? Or do you feel as if you've given all you
have? Are you turning to others hoping they'll tell you what
you want to hear in order to feel better? If nothing is helping
and you're facing "I'm done" are you ready
for a new direction?
There are very few of us that truly seek an open honesty from
others. We want to be embraced with sympathy and justification.
It's never pleasant when someone tells us a painful truth instead
of indulging us in our wallowing and self-pity. If it's from
someone who really cares about us we should probably listen.
I've discovered a great truth, when "I'm done"
the truth really does set me free. I try to honestly evaluate
and digest what's been spoken and find the very applicable things.
So look carefully for truth only.
Just before Jesus died on the cross, He said to the Father, "It
is finished." What He meant was "I'm done."
The enemy tried to fool His followers into believing He was gone
and it was over, but it was just the beginning. Don't give up
and believe that things in your life are over, Jesus wants to
show you that in difficult times; surrendering to Him means to
be done with struggling alone and let Him hold and
carry you to great blessing and change.
"And you will know
the truth, and the truth will make you free." John 8:32
