Me First
God loved the world this way, He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life. John 3:16
We live in a "Me First" world. We will do
something for someone else, if they will do something for us.
I believe it's referred to as, you scratch my back and I'll scratch
yours.
Jesus broke these rules when He died on the cross. By His sacrifice
He said, "I'll do something for you, you don't even have
to accept this, but I am going to do it anyway." We failed
and He paid the price. No strings attached. In order to gain
from His gift we have to accept and admit our failure, acknowledge
who He is, and give Him back our lives that He willingly died
to redeem. In return He offers eternity with Him, total forgiveness,
and lasting deep friendship as long as we live. Oh and there
is a bonus, every promise He ever made in His word to us, is ours.
We just have to accept His gift of love.
Death for us was inevitable, spiritual death, separation from
God. So before Satan could say who's next, Jesus stepped in and
said, "Me First!"
God paid a great price
for you, so don't become slaves of anyone else.
1 Corinthians 7:23(CEV)
