When it comes to the Bible,
there are many opinions. It's a book of stories written by men,
it has historical value only, the list goes on. But there are
two interesting facts about the Bible; it has sold more copies
than any other book and is the most stolen from bookstores. These
facts tell me there is more to the Bible than pages with words.
We spend our days trying to fill the emptiness within. We aren't
satisfied with all we have, so we look for more. When we get
it, it isn't enough. God's word can satisfy all our longings
and fill the emptiness within. God's word is enough. It can
answer any question with truth and certainty. Why? Because,
it is a "Living" word, penned by men, but inspired by
God.
Since the fall of man, we have tried to be in control, but the
more we try to control, the more out of control we become. The
only way to have peace is to allow God to have complete control.
He wants to give us the desires of our heart, but it can't come
when we get in His way.
If you are tired of worry, doubt, uncertainty, and emptiness,
open God's word and see that His promises are true. We don't
always understand the circumstances of our lives. God does and
will always be closer than anyone else ever will.
If we will walk according to His word, He will show us how to
fill the emptiness completely.
