The Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. Genesis 2:8
I love landscaping
and designing flowerbeds. I enjoy seeing all the colorful blossoms
and the defined beds they are in. I always design and redesign
them. My son said, "Mom, you can't put anything else in,
there's no room!" I smiled and said, "Bet me!"
I plant so that I have things in bloom from spring to fall.
We are flowers in God's gardens. He plants us where we look and
grow the best, so we will bloom in due season. We may not always
like where we are planted, but we have to trust in His perfect
placement. I often redesign and move my plants. God does this
with us as well; He sees that we can bloom in another part of
His garden. Sometimes we are required somewhere else to touch
someone. His designs have no flaws, He places you where you can
become the best He intended you to be. We often question God's
design, but let's see it from His point of view. Just as I landscape
for best effect, so God also has a landscape plan for us, to touch
someone or be touched by someone.
Bloom where you are planted. Spend less time complaining and more time blooming; the colors will be extraordinary.
O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You. I will give thanks to Your name, for You have worked wonders; plans formed long ago with perfect faithfulness. Isaiah 25:1
