Hi, All;
This Week: What are the sections of Windows screens? Part 1 The screen that displays normally on your monitor after pressing the power button on your PC is called the "DESKTOP." This screen has "icons" on it that are "shortcuts" to launch programs.

If you double-click the left mouse button on the "My Documents" icon, that tells the PC to start a program called "File Explorer," using the folder called "My Documents."

 

This graphic is from Windows XP so it may not look like the Windows9x you are familiar with, but the title bar and menu bar are supposed to be on every windows screen in each version of Windows, and any Windows approved program. The Explorer bar is program dependent but is on most of the Microsoft programs.
