This Week: Working with the Internet Options dialog box, Part 2
Last week we looked at the Internet Options dialog box to clean up the URL Address history file. This week we will look at another option on the Internet Options dialog box.

To find the Internet Options dialog box, click on "tools" on the IE menu bar. A menu will drop down; click on "Internet Options," and a drop down box will display with several tabs across the top of the box.

The "General" tab will be displaying; this tab is where you can set your home page- the web site that displays whenever you start IE. You can set your "home page" three ways. (1)You can type in the address of your favorite web site, and (2) if you are already at your favorite site, just click on the "Use Current" button. (3)The "Use Default" button puts your browser at MSN, and the "Use Blank" does just that--it gives you a blank screen. Sometimes a less-than-nice company will place their web address there without your knowing or approving it, so every time you start IE you go to their web site. Now you can change it back to where you want your browser to start.

There are many other options available in this "Internet Option" box. I will cover more of them in future columns.
