Your "Ask Annie" was perfect this week!! When I still used my walker, two gals raced ahead of me at a Rest Stop bathroom to get in first!! The entire restroom was empty but the older of the two ran into the Handicapped stall and I was shocked..... but the clincher came when the other gal looked at me and said it was OK for her to use it cause she was hard of hearing and that is a disability, too!! Oh well!!
Now that I use an Electric Scooter, I find Wal Mart to be a wonderful place to shop and the customers are courteous and understanding of my needs!! However, try to visit a Costco and the mood changes ~ people run in front of your cart and only thing I can think of is it might be because the lines are so long at check out and they are worried I might end up in front of them!! Rudest folks anywhere are the customers at Costco!!

Dear Annie,
First you write about people forcing their agenda on others and then your own shows up again. Handicapped people have enough ramps and special door buttons already. The sink at work splashes water onto the crotch of my pants every time I try to wash my hands because it has to be that low for people in wheelchairs. I,m 6,4. Is my height considered my handicap?

No. Your narrow mindedness is crippling you, though. God forbid that you should ever roll a mile in a wheelchair and then you,d know the trials and tribulations those folks face every day.
